Hedge fund salary: your Guide

When I talk about money the first thing that pops in my mind is investing and outgrowing . Invest your money is the front page of many tabloids and magazines today .But how to invest it ,or, where? Did you know that there are actual jobs that deal with the money market research ? One of this position is the hedge fund manager . He is the person that runs the hedge fund with the goal of maximizing return . First of all, let’s explain a little bit about this hedge fund thing. A hedge fund is something that manages a pool of money for large investors . Being a full time hedge fund manager takes a lot of effort and work .

If we want statistical numbers turn on your TV  or better yet , go on the internet and search the latest business magazine and you will be surprised to find out that in 2010 , the top hedge fund manager has increased his income with $3 billion , yes , you’ve read it right ,  billion , that’s enough to buy a country nowadays. The other contestants at this title are not far from this number . The next best hedge fund manager has won last year over $2 billion so that will do it too , right? If this has turned your interest to the hedge fund market , you may want to know a few things : it’s not the base salary that got these people so rich , is the bonus gained by the fund’s performance . You have to be very well trained and have a lot of skills to achieve this performance.

But let’s put aside a little bit the tops of this business and concentrate on the regular earnings if you want to become a hedge fund manager. You will have to start with a junior position which is payed poorly but once you are in , the dices are on the table and anything can happen. A junior hedge fund manager has a base salary of $300 monthly , yes the number is correct.Like I said earlier , the bonus is what makes the big difference . Being a junior the bonuses will be about $800 monthly and if you are lucky even more . But the things really get spiced up once you’ve been made senior . Than , your incomes will start easily from $2000 monthly plus bonuses. Is it worth it?In this business it all depends on you.
